VIEWING MULTIPLE TOPICS ON SCREEN: You can choose to see more than 10 Topics at a time ... Log In and choose "Preferences" from the top bar on the Forum page. Scroll down and Change the "Default Topics Returned" parameter to 25 or 50, and save the changes. Since this setting is stored in your browser 'cookies' (if enabled), it seems to use that stored value even if you are not logged in. So, if you use a PC that you haven't logged into the forum from, the setting still seem to remain at the default.
EXTERNAL PHOTO LINKS ON FORUM: You can still use external photo links in your posts on the new forum. They follow the rules of any link in that they have to have the URL link qualified down to the full image file name (example: .jpg). The links will open in a new browser window, the same as an uploaded image attached to a post. Since an image attachment to any post does not display inline with the post, the results are the same. You can use multiple external links within a post. This link is from photos on a site from Don Clink's 'Deuce@75' albums:

Using links from photo sites such as Photobucket can help in "size" issue with uploaded attachment files. For best viewing in web browsers, photos should be around the 800x600 pixel range, and probably not more than 1024x768. Most cameras today store HUGE jpg image files, as the default settings are in the 7, 8, 10, and 12Mb image sizes. The image files that are then attached are very large, and the browser can't display the full image size without using the scroll bars. Use the re-sizing functions of your photo editing software to reduce the image to 800x600, which reduces the file sixe and the image load time in the browser. Don uses Google's free Picassa3 software, which is an excellent photo management product. All of the photo albums of the Deuce, Grand National, and Auburn that are links on the NORG site were built using Picassa's web creation functions. And it's free? (THANKS to Don Clink for the info!)
HOW DO I SHOW MY EMAIL ADDRESS ALONG WITH MY USERNAME? You can LogIn on the Forum, and select PREFERENCES. On this page Members can add optional information such as their City,State, Country; Occupation; Hobbies: list a Homepage; list AOL Instant Messanger Handle; Signature; "Make Email Address viewable to others;" and even change the number of Default Topics shown on a page. WHEN others click on your profile, they will see this information.

Since there are only 50 pieces why not send us the part numbers. I can look up many if not all and let you know what you have.

. Seriously, if you run into anything that you have a problem identifying; just post a photo, and I'll bet one of the members of this knowledgeable "tribe" can tell you what it is.

Once you've identified parts, you are welcome to post them in our classified section. Probably not as big an audience as E-bay, but at least you know the winning purchaser is probably not going to build a "Street-Rod"; and there is no cost involved.

What you may have is "fresh meat" for some of us.

Being that the dealership closed in the early 60's, you could have parts in that lot that were current stock at that time. I've was a Ford partsman up until recently and there are plenty of parts Ford doesn't want back. When you do a parts return (PIPP ) Ford tells you what to send back and what to throw out and you get paid for that item. Cost them less to dump it at the dealer end and write off than to send back to the redistribution center and restock.
Anyway, If you want to send me a list, I'll see what they fit and let you know. I have almost all the P&A catalogs up into thye 70's. Send me a PM with the part numbers.

Thanks for responding to my question Charlie. My father bought these parts from a Ford dealership back in the 60"s, so I'm assuming that some of them fit 1928 thru 1948. The parts were stock that the dealership could not return to Ford. My sisters & I have inherited the building (50' x 100') and it's contents so we are trying to sell what we can. I brought back what I could to Arizona and we've just begun to research our possibilities. I would say there's at least 50 to 100 parts.

First I assume your parts are in the 1928 through 1948 time period. Please post if this is not correct. There is a book commonly called the "Green Bible" that was the parts book for 1928-48 Ford parts. This was the book kept on the counter in the parts department of Ford dealers and was their "bible". The formal name is "Chassis Parts and Accessories Catalogue" and the one you need was printed in November 1950. They are available as a reproduction for about $70 (try Faxon's http://www.faxonautoliterature.com). I assume your use is temporary so if you post your general location maybe someone would loan you one. Most suppliers do not use the original Ford part numbers due to Ford claiming they were proprietary and trying to charge the suppliers to use the numbers. How many parts are we talking about, ten or hundreds?

I have quite a few old Ford parts. My problem is not knowing what they fit. I have the part #'s on the original parts box but have no way to look up the number. Is there a web site or book that I can use to find out what these parts fit?
