I googled and found a post that Kube made on Fordbard on 12/30/07. Thanks Mike! Now I've got to loosen all the bolts and see if I can do some adjustin. Actually there is more to it than that and it was a very good article.

Wolfie, repost your question on the '40 Ford board to get the attention of Mike. I do believe he'll tell you to align the hood to the cowl, and then the fenders to the hood.

I've just put the fenders and running boards on after a repaint. Now I notice the hood does not align with the fenders. I have always had this problem but it seems to be more now. I've measured points on the fenders and they seem to be about 3/16" to the left at the front of the hood. If I move the hood to the left there is a big gap at the cowl on the right side. It doesn't seem like the car was in a wreck but you never know. Does anyone have any tips on how I might be able to adjust the fenders? Thanks!
