Thanks supereal, the originals are in great shape. I want to take them off so that I can buffer them. I suppose they hook at the bottom edge of the running board and then snap in place. I'm sure I need to be very careful removing them.

They hook over the running boards and snap into place. At least they are supposed to. The originals stay, but most of the thinner repros have to be anchored with a screw at the front. Be aware that the two sides are not identical. If you order replacements, be sure the vendor understands. One tried three times to send us the left sides only!

Can anyone tell me how to remove the rocker panel moulding from a 1948 sedan.
