Just curious - why is every person a "new member". Is there an "old member" category. John

oldford2, when the website was revamped they were not able to transfer the old members to the new site. Everyone had to re-register and this made everyone a new member.

Most of us "new members" are older members, but there are a few young guys reminiscing on this forum also.

I"m in my sixties and I consider myself a "younger" new member.

Alan, I think most of here are in our 60's. The thing that keeps us young is owning an old Ford or two or three!

You young guys will keep the Early Ford V-8 flag flying as old guys fade away.

I have wondered for many years what makes a person old? If the smell of smoking tires and a well built engine winding up does not light your candle, are you old? If the sight of a pretty young lady, e.g. (any female from 9 to 90, deaf dumb or crazy) does not light your candle, are you old? Hmmm? Thinking about one or more of the above, has made my thoughts drift off. Since lighting the tires up on a car could get me in trouble with the law, I guess I will put on my "shades" and go down to the mall for some serious girl watching....

For this group you are probably old if you appreciate the sound of a well tuned V8 with dual exhaust instead of a screaming 4cyl Honda. Jim... 1950 F1 Stake

That would make my grandson old. He likes the sound of a good set of duals on a flathead better than the dron of a Honda with a loud muffler. I have always believed that you were old when you could not accept new ideas, or learn new tasks.
