What is the difference between a 1936 Cabriolet, Club Cabriolet, and Roadster? Thanks in advance, Abchurch

The Cabriolet has role up windows and no back seat. The Club Cabriolet has a back seat and the Roadster has side curtains (and no back seat). According to the V8 Album Ford made 14,068 Cabriolets, 4,616 Club Cabriolets and 3,862 Roadsters.

The CABRIOLET has a fixed windshield, part of the cowl The ROADSTER and PHAETON have movable windshield that SWINGS OUT of the bottom. with stantions holding the windshield in place, my 3 cents worth, 37 RAGTOPMAN,and KEEP on FORDIN, In my way of thinking, I prefer a CABRIOLET you can roll out the weather, more driveable I enclosed a picture of a 36 CABRIOLET, it is a street rod, a friend of mine owns, but shows you the windshield and cowl of a 36 CABRIOLET

Neither the 36 roadster or phaeton has fold down windshields they did have swing out windshields. The cabriolets and convertible sedans had fixed windshields. I think the last fold down was the 32 model. There may have been after market fold downs. Don

I have a Cabriolet with the rumble seat but I think the Clubs have a trunk. I believe that windsheild and dashboard also fits the station wagon. Ken in Texas
