Mounting the new glass in new bedding is kind of tricky. Make sure you mark the edge of the old glass where it meets the end of the metal track. Use that as a template so the new glass fits exactly in the same place. If the glass isn't in the correct location the rollers on the regulator can drop off the end of the window channel. Been there, done that.

If the door panel is off you can unscrew the regulator and drop down the regulator and glass as one unit. Once this assembly is in the bottom of the door you can slide the regulator off the track and then take the glass out of the door. Re-assemble by reversing the process.

I'm a muscle car guy just getting into into vintage cars. I just bought a 36 5 window. Drivers side window is broken and can't figure out how to release the glass for removal. Help
