Any good quality gear oil from 90-140 can be used in your trans and rear end. The gear oils originally used in your car are no longer commercially available and were not as good as the currently available gear lubes. I use the 80w/140 gl5 oil by Pennzoil

I would go with 90 wt gear oil.

I've asked different people which gear oil to use and got about as many answers.Any where from 80-95 to thick as honey. Does anyone know what the original manual says and if still recomended. thanks ellsworth
