I have a 40 Ford Pickup that needs a center dirveshaft bearing. I need a part number or a sutiable subistitue number for one. Better yet a location of one. Any help would be greatly appriciated.

The real McCoy (Ford - OEM) bearings are nearly non-existent. On rare occasion you'll find one offered on Ebay. I have exactly two remaining (new old stock) in my 'stash'. $225. I have heard that Skip (water pump guy in Florida) makes some kind of repair sleeve / bearing for replacement purposes. I have no clue how his offering works. I would guess pretty well.

How do I get in touch with you? I would like to know if you want to part with one of the bearings. You can e-mail me at kentking@embarqmail.com

Kent, Sorry it took me a bit to reply. I watch the '40' section of this website carefully but on occasion overlook posts (40) on this section. Hi Kent, I'll sell one of the bearings. You can email me at kubes40@att.net Regards, Mike
