I'm curious about how to tell original NOS C-7 and 7 plugs from later remanufactured plugs. I'm assuming Champion continued to make them up through the '70s like Model A plugs. Much is written about the A plugs but I haven't seen anything much about the early V8 plugs. I know both are two rib take aparts but can you determine originals by the size of the base hexes, knurling pattern, packaging. etc. I have a Rouge quality car that I'd like to show in Saratoga Springs next summer and if I can get original plugs in her it would be a nice touch. Thank you.

Here's a comparison between #7 (1 piece), #7 (2 piece), & C-7
