C&G has door latch springs on page 269 of their catalog. There are two styles for '36, early and late, so you need to know which you need. The early is 68-702267, the later style has a 78 prefix. $4 each. Many times sagging handles are due to the square shank of the handle being worn. They can be built up by welding, then ground back to the original shape. If the square hole in the latch is badly worn, or sloppy, the latch will need to be rebuilt or replaced.
