Correct on the 8rt truck pumps. But they are wide belts so the crank pulley and generator pulley will have to be changed to match.

I was planning to do this and I believe if you use the 8rt truck water pumps you shouldn’t need the spacer.

I have an 8ba in my '39 p/u. Using a truck pan for tie rod clearance and a Mercury 1/2 bell to mate to the '39 trans. Also using Merc narrow belt pumps which require a u shaped spacer to offset the difference in front mount heights. You'll have some radiator issues - '39 top hoses are 1 3/4" and 8ba thermostat housing is 1 1/4". You can use hose reducers or purchase new 1 3/4" thermostat housings from Drake or others. I can't comment on other possible radiator issues since I had a Brassworks radiator made for the 8ba which has a different top tank config than a stock '39.

is there any difference in the blocks that would prevent a 49-53 block swap to a 39 assuming 39 peripherals are used ? Thanks for the help.
