LED’s made an amazing difference in my 33. The Fordor in the original post now belongs to me, on the left in the first upright photo and the right in the second. TIM CARLIG

The 1188 light bulb is 50/32 CP and brighter. The LED bulbs are the way to go but a bit more $

Installed LED head and tail light bulbs in my '35. Original 6v positive ground generator. I recently installed an internal Electronic Voltage Regulator (EVR) in the generator, but with LED lights the load is very small, so the EVR is not really necessary. Before the EVR, I had the 3rd brush adjusted very low, yet it still provided a slight positive charge with the lights on.

If you want to use new headlight reflectors, they are available from C.W. Moss. https://cwmoss.com/collections/v8/headlights?page=2

Another actually better option to silver is aluminum. I know it sounds cheap but by the time you are finished it actually slightly cost more. This technology is used in spacecraft and medical devices, two areas they are not worried about costs. A company named UVIRA used to do this and I assume they are still around. Years ago their number was (541) 474-5050 and I hope it is still good. Charlie Stephens

All of the above, and remember, the lens itself may have many years of accumulated smog deposits on the inside. Remove the lens and wash with ordinary dish soap. Light and dimmer switches can present high electrical resistance, which can be overcome by the use of relays installed near the end use, being powered by dedicated circuits, those switches functionality being limited only to operate the relays.

The reflectors must be silver plated, not chrome plated. Use 50/32 bulbs instead of 32/32 bulbs.
