On the cheap side .... Years ago I bought a battery at Walmart for my '47 because they were offering a longer warranty than for a Diehard at Advanced Auto. Now 7 years later its working as good as new BUT that is likely due to the fact I keep a trickle/mini charger connected to it. I do the same for my other classic car whose battery is 10 years old.

I have always used the Optima battery. Not the cheapest battery around, but they last a long time.

My recommendation would be a conventional NAPA Proformer Part No. BAT 6535. This is a BCI #35 size battery with the following specifications: Length: 9 9/16" Width: 6 7/8" Height: 9" Weight 34 pounds 675 CA @ 32 degrees F 550 CCA @ 0 degrees F This is a relatively small battery with adequate performance and an attractive price.

I would appreciate a recommendation for purchasing a 12v batter for my 1947 Super Deluxe Coupe as I am converting it to 12 volt. Thanks
