Mike, you’re correct. I forgot that the later blocks could mount with the truck bell housing .

Alan, from the number on the transmission, he can't even determine his engine is no later than '48. All he can determine is the transmission is '48. From all we know there could be a Rocket 88 under the hood. Mike "Kube" Kubarth

The number on a transmission does not identify the engine unless it is original to the engine. All you can determine is that your engine is no later than 1948.

The number looks like 99C-1999973 and I can't find it in the tables...C sometimes means commercial Thanks for any help.
