Trying to find a good source and looking on Google, I see some vendors but not knowing anything about them, I’m looking for recommendations from this group. I want to replicate an original application as close as possible, ie: taupe, napped cotton, etc. Are the business coupe’s application any different than any other coupe’s? Thanks Pre sewn !

Go to Acme headliners; www.acmeautoheadlining.com. They have been around since 1948. As I recall they also have the windlace that you will need in replacing the headliner. Not sure, but there was a rumor that they supplied LeBaron-Bonney and I know they did the sunvisors on some cars for LB. I also think that Classic Auto Parts in Oklahoma City sells headliners.

Try SMS Auto Fabrics in Oregon (503-263-3535). They advertise all American Cars 1930-2000. They have patterns for headliners as well as original fabrics and colors. I purchased the headliner for my 53 Ford Club Coupe in 2021 in correct color and fabric as well as windlace. They will sell you the fabric or pre sewn. You may have to wait awhile, depending on their backlog.

Thanks both of you. I called Acme and they are wholesale only. Unfortunately, I have no connection with anyone who has an account with them. SMS seems able to accommodate however I’m concerned regarding some reviews I’ve read. They said material is in stock and promised a 3-4 week turn around and who knows if I can take a chance and go ahead and order. I would love nothing better than being able to give a positive review. Thanks again!

I saw that Rock Auto is one of the vendors that offers Acme headliners, at least for 1937 5w coupes.

Try Quality Auto Carpets in Chicago. Jim, the owner called me several times in response to an inquiry I sent about carpets and a headliner for my '54 Ford Ranch Wagon. Very knowledgeable and helpful guy. Prices seemed reasonable. 2-3 weeks lead time. https://www.qualityautocarpet.com/

Like Tom said, call Acme. They have a lot of patterns and are very easy to deal with. Call and speak with Bob Westmoreland.
