I am planning on replacing my taillight bulbs which are 6volt pos. ground to LED 6 volt pos. ground, When I checked my tail lights I found that I have two different style bulbs, the right side has offset pins and the left has inline pins. Apparently one of the sockets was replaced at some time. Which is correct for my car, when did ford switch? Thank you. Frank

How about a hint as to what year Ford you are inquiring about. Generally speaking, the group herein are poor mind readers.

Below you will find a drawing of the original tail light bulb from Don Rogers . The 1158 tail light bulb has equal pin height NOT offset. The same tail light bulb was used until sometime after the war.
