hope everyone is well I hav3e been having a hard time finding a late 36 flat top coil condenser. - I bought one with the ground strap soldered to the side of the body and de-soldered it and resoldered it to the but end like the original. a couple of questions : - can/ should you solder on a condenser ? if so how hot ? - these aftermarket condensers seem like junk - should the center screw terminal be able to spin ? - Does anyone have a good setup for these flat top distributors for a high quality condenser ? - i saw the specs for the ford condensers somewhere - but cant seem to find them now - does someone have them ? appreciate the help Chris

Have you tried Van Pelt Sales? He lists two different condensers for 1936 Ford V-8s. One is for 1932-36 and the other one, 68-12300, is for 1936 only. His website is listed on the left side of this page under "Friends".

Tubman’s “trash can” condenser is nothing like what you have, will not look right or fit right on your car.
