hey ford gang, iv'e been using inline metal fuel filters near firewall to mechanical fuel pump. thinkink of changing to a plastic filter to better see condition of fuel. are there some that are for our 2-3 lb flathead vs. fuel injected motors,or is floe the same for either? thanks,Tom.

Tom, I use a clear plastic inline filter upstream of my electric fuel pump. Both are located below driver's seat along frame rail. It's a great tool to determine when it's time to chance filter. I'm guessing your filter is between the pump and the carb. I would think your sediment bowl will give you clues. Barney

thanks Barney, my filter i have at end of metal fuel line on firewall before mechanical pump via hose no sediment bowl on my'37. part# and brand you use? most of the plastic filters are not really clear, but kinda cloudy. i havn't seen any clear other than the glass ones iv'e had on muscle cars in the past and those leak. Tom.
