GO TO FORDBARN WEBSITE. THERE IS A MAN THAT SUPPLIES HYDRAULIC BRAKE PARTS FOR ALL OLD FORDS AND MAKES KITS. HE IS SMART AND NICE. I THINK HIS WEBSITE MAY BE V-8 GARAGE. SOMEBODY ON THIS SITE WILL KNOW.

But they didn't say which year! Around here, we call them "Backorder Bob". Drake's items are always first class, and no one has done more for the old Ford hobby than he, so I am not knocking him. We don't order much there because we never get a full order, and the backorders are lengthy without even an estimate of when the part will be available.

Almost all well used units need to be rebushed, particularly if there was no way to grease them. In many cases, the shaft is also so worn that rebushing is not going to restore a smooth fit. When I bought my '47, the pedal shaft and bushings were so worn that someone had sheet metal scr*w*d some pieces of rubber to the floorboards to keep the pedal shafts from rubbing and making noise! If your pedals don't have grease fittings, it is a good idea to install them, being careful that they will be accessible.

did you take apart, pretty simple to rebush, take it apart and see were the wear is,the bush alone might be all you need, just check the shaft, you will need a little play, so it moves easily, and not binds and returns easily, hope this helps 37 RAGTOPMAN

Used units seem to be about $200, but how difficult is the rebuild? Does the clutch cross shaft normally need to be replaced or just bushings? Thanks...
