I've always believed in adding about 1/4 cup? of Marvel Mystery Oil, at an oil change, to the new oil. Would adding some to the gas tank too have any advantage?

Lot's of people on the Ford Barn Model A site swear by it. I used to go: glug glug glug glug with it. Still do in my 40. Some substitute ATF (cheaper). Remember the old style top oilers?? Paul in CT Not going to hurt anything.

My car came to me with a persistent intermittent miss which I now know was due to sticky valve(s). Common problem with flatheads that sit unused for long periods. Added MMO to the oil, no change; as expected, snake oil wasn’t going to fix anything. Finally added MMO to the gasoline. The persistent miss disappeared with the first drive! Now I am a born-again believer. I add MMO to the gas at every fill up.
