I’ve purchased a wiper motor that I’m hoping is correct for my 36 pickup to replace one that doesn’t have the correct switch location. I want to use the arm and blade that I have but the adapter on the stem is different. I was able to pry the adapter off my existing motor. You can see there are tiny splines on the shaft. I can’t pull/pry the adapter off my new motor. I’m afraid of bending or damaging the shaft. I’m wondering if the adapter threads on. Does anyone have experience with how these adapters attach? Thanks

The motor without the adapter is the correct original style wiper arm connector. It is not removable. You can get the proper arms and blades for the 36 to match the motor.

Thanks, 40 Coupe, I guess I was focused on reusing the arm and blade that I have. I’ll look for the correct arm. Any ideas on a reliable source?
