I need to know how the shelf in a '46 convertible is put together.I have the horizonal and vertical part.How are they assembled? Thanks John Lubinski

You are talking about the shelf about halfway down the rear seat that the top rests in when down?? It just rests there with a couple of screws to steady it. The back of the rear seat has a couple of brackets the hook on it. If your horizontal piece is complete just place it above the wheel wells and you can see how it must go. It is all covered when done.

John: The only "shelf" that I know of in the convertible is the one in the top well. It forms a panel to support the rear seat back, lies above the spare tire, and forms a storage space for the top when it is lowered. The thing is a puzzle when it is disassembled. If that is the part you are describing, I'll try to locate the diagram that came with my LeBaron-Bonney kit.
