Trans bolts checked and were tight. I will be replacing the motor mounts, however, I checked them first and could not tighten them anymore. Have not checked the bolts that fasten the trans to the engine only where the tail sits on the cross brace. I'll do that today. I have noticed that he's leaking more oil which seems to be coming out of the trans somewhere. Or my new rear main seal has failed. That's a job I don't want to do again.

My 46 coupe has developed a rubbing/hitting noise on acceleration when the engine torques. It's not hitting the radiator, but seems to be coming from below. Thinking something might be loose, I tightened everything I could. everything was already tight. Any ideas what the noise might be? It stops when I take my foot off the gas and it decelerates. Thanks for any input y'all might have
