I used PC7 to fix steering wheels with no reappearance of cracks.

I've used JB Weld to fix steering wheels. Just fixed one with the same type of damage. I drilled some small holes in the grooves so the JB would hold better.

On a similar topic, the car uses a stock steering wheel and it had a "brody knob" which has since been removed but the knob damaged it leaving gouges in the rim. I plan to use some epoxy type filler, sand it and use spray paint and re-paint the wheel. Does this repair sound right? Chris

I think you will find the pages showing colour samples of the cloth and detailed descriptions of the associated trims and colours more than helpful.

Well okay. At this point I really don't think I will get much use out of it. But on the other hand it is not going to break the bank!

A carcrazy stated, buy the book. It has all the info you need in section 3-37, 38, 39 and 40. This book is the first book I bought after I got my '46 Super Deluxe Coupe.

The 1941-48 Ford Book available through this website answers many of the questions you have asked.

Where can I find the specified interior fabric. I already had an upholsterer who I have worked with for years. I think Ford designed it with either broadcloth or mohair. Moreover was the upholstery design for the Super Deluxe fabric on the seat cushion and seat back and vinyl on the sides of the seat cushion and the top of the seat back?
