leazer. Good point. I wrongly assumed that both ends would be the same, and made the sketch based on the back side, which is easier to see. Guess I should have looked at my own pictures a bit closer. Keep in mind that this car was through a few owners before I bought it, so that piece may be a repro, and not original.

question for 51 Woody, in the photos you sent the photo of the front of the strap is tapered not rounded corners, is there reason for this or does it matter, just some clarification. thanks

leazer. Finally got time to go out and take measurements for you. I was happy that it warmed up to 20F. here in Northern Ontario, so my old hands didn't get too cold. I hope this sketch is clear enough.

leazer, The center piece in the photo is correct. I have a Lebaron-Bonney kit in my '48 with the gray cloth material. The center cover piece is made from a light gray vinyl material.

The photos are great, would it be possible for you to make a sketch of that piece from your car, if that's to much trouble I understand but I had to ask. thanks again

leazer. Here is what I have on my '46 Super Deluxe Coupe. I looked in the 1941-48 EFV8 book, but didn't see any note on that item. My car was kept original, but has gone through several owners, so I don't know if the material used on the cover is original or the original type. I hope the pictures help. I hate it when the pics get turned out of orientation. In this case, sideways.
