need to purchase a water heater blower motor or some info on what replacement motor would be same as original so i can use original switch

tweetsmith01 maybe a part number or Maybe posting a photo of what you need might help. and measurements, a lot of these motors were the same, if the blower switch a rheostat ? how many speeds, I have freed these up in the past, with out problems, with rust buster or oil might need electric motive cleaner sprayed on the commutator good luck hope this helps, 37Ragtopman

its a 40 blower motor with 4wires and two speeds in both directions one direction is for heat and oppsite rotation is for defrost i belive from reading that 41 to 46 motors are too big to fit heater box

The hot water heater motors (and fans) are the same size from 39 to 48.

The 39 and 40 motors are shorter in length than the 41-48 hot water heater motors.
