I purchased my '36 ford and was running perfect. Took it on the parkway it backfired and cannot get it to fire . I'm looking for a qualified person or shop that somebody can recommend, I'm located in Westchester County, NY. Thanks my email: siteman62@yahoo.com

I would start with the condenser if it was mine. Look forward to reading other opinions. Charlie Stephens

Welcome to the EFV8CA Forum, and to the hobby! Your issue may be one of several things, but we need more info to be able to help. One important piece of advice I can give you right now is to change your user name and never put out your personal info on the web. There are those who would love to suck you into their scams, and your email is one way they do it. We can reply to your posts as I did, and we can reply with a personal message to you through this website. We don't need or want your personal info to help!

So if anyone can shed some help with my problem that would be great. Trying to find the right person or shop has been very difficult.

You might try a Ford dealer near you. One of ours has a Mech....not a tech, who works on classic Fords. Time & parts is how they charge. That mechanic has a 68 Mustang & keeps the dealership owners flathead cars running top notch. Someone at a Ford dealership may at least "know someone". Good luck ! mike

You should join the EFV8 club. If you're already a member, get in touch with your local chapter and join that as well. There will be members there that can help you with your car. here is a link to the local club located in Poughkeepsie. Ken http://clubs.hemmings.com/hvregion14/

I second the recommendation that you join a RG.
