Hello, Anyone know where I can get the running board braces for a 37 car? These braces are riveted to the frame and are often rusted to pieces (like mine). There are two per side. Thanks, gregg

HI 37 I think the braces are part of the running boards, I had a 1937 pickup and I can not remember seeing brackets on the frame. ? you might need running boards, with brackets, they should be welded on, I know my CABRIOLET has brackets on the boards, not removable, hope this helps 37 Ragtopman

Thanks for the reply 37. The running boards do have "built in" braces. In addition, the frame has some braces (or maybe they are called brackets or ??). Attached are a couple of pics. It's a little hard to make out, but you can see the braces towards the front are rusted away. The braces towards the rear are in decent shape. gregg

You are talking about body mount brackets that are riveted to the frame. I do not believe that those are being reproduced --

hi 37 sedan delivery I would seriously be looking for a 37 38 frame, by what I am looking at in the photo's or you need to a metal fabrication shop, to make pieces for you to bring the frame back to safety standards, and be a real good welder, and measure everything 2 times so the frame is straight the replacement frame route is the easier to do, advertise for one here on the classified section, or go to swap meets Like HERSHEY in the fall, good luck with the project, it will be worth it in the END, you building it STOCK ? my 2 cents 37Ragtopman

Thanks 37. Yeah, the frame is also in very poor shape. I will be on the lookout for a better one, hopefully somewhere close. My plan is to go bone stock. It is hard to find parts for a sedan delivery. gregg

You definitely need another frame. The sedan delivery uses the same frame as a passenger car. Nor sure of your location, but start checking Craigslist and check with other V-8ers in your area.

How about Hidden Valley -- just up the road. Been there years ago. Lots of interesting stuff. We stopped on the way from hot Phoenix to hotter Tucson. But in February I would trade the view of the Saquaro National Park to what I see out my window.
