That's a good question and I've often wondered the same thing. Seems like this effort began 10-15 years ago. I know there's a saying that "good things take time", but how good is something that seemingly will never happen?

This project has been a lot more difficult than I'd ever imagined. I suppose I could have quickly slapped something together but that's just not my way of doing anything. I prefer to do it once and do it correctly. Yep, it's been a quite some time since I began this endeavor. Of course, unlike (apparently) some of you, I have other things going on in my life. You're not the first guy to mention that to me on some form or another. And yes, you are of course correct. My OCD has been a blessing throughout my life in many ways. In others? Not so much.

Mike, do you have any idea of a target date for completion.? You just may be a very very busy man, but you were probably just as busy when you volunteered to do this book re-write. We usually, or normally tend to be as busy as we want to be at whatever we like doing best....jmo John

May I ask what type of 1940 Ford book you are referring to? I have several car manuals, and have one or two (I believe) for the 40 Deluxe.

JCSR, I am writing a "restoration guide" for 1940 Ford passenger cars. It is HIGHLY detailed and thoroughly researched. My goal is to include each and every detail - kind of a "one stop shop" so to speak.
