Hi I just join the forum. I'm in France and I bought a V48 roadster recently. I'm looking for the Houdaille chock absorbers. May be have you still them? Kr

shogun40, just for info the 48 Fords used tube shocks. The old style(Houdaille) shocks were discontinued in late 1947.

Shogun, That article would be most interesting to a great number of V8ers. If you could post it on this Forum, or jpeg it to send by email, we would all appreciate it! Thank you in advance,
Alan

why tube shocks, they have to be mounted at 22 degree angle , pass. side in front, driver side in rear of the axle for good performance. Street rod mag just had good article on rebuilding houdaille shocks, I learned a lot if you want the month i will research it for you
