any advice on buying a throwout or clutch release bearing, part no. B-7580 or 78-7580? several are available on amazon from timken, national, federal-mogul and others with prices ranging from $14 to $50. C&G has one for $17.50. it says made in china and has 2065 Y25A stamped on it. drake has one for $12 with no markings whatsoever.

My preference would be for one made in the United States.

There have been many stories of early failure on modern replacement bearings. I agree with TomO in securing a USA BEARING. however, be careful as many sold as being made in the USA are in fact, NOT. They are BOXED in the USA. I prefer NOS or NORS and snatch them up whenever I find them available.
