I had to paint a few maroon interior trim pieces. I got real close and used gloss base coat clear coat. I took the old pieces to the paint shop and they had a box of chips in order of hues so it was rather simple. Given original paint on other pieces these door trim pieces do not stand out. Hope that helps a little.

Ditzler called it "Ford Gray - Green Texture, DL-40615." An old formula won't help because the ingredients are no longer available. Best bets are to find a restorer that has recently had it matched or find an original part to have matched. Even on an original part the metallic won't be right because the early metallics used flakes that lost their luster in a short time. See autocolorlibrary.com . Not sure about gloss. My mom's new '49 convertible had a green dash but it wasn't metallic and it was glossy. I think the metallics were more of a satin finish.
