Sometime back there was a discussion regarding causes of clutch chatter, specifically effects of engine mount variables. Does anyone recall and can give me tips on how to find it?

You can do a search using key words Clutch Chatter. For "In The Past" you can select ALL or a shorter period if you remember the approximate time you read the post.

Clutch chatter is most ofen oil on the disc, or a bad, or loose, motor or transmission mount, I've had rare cases in my VW days when the clutch disc had a "Sheen" to it, and I just sanded the disc with 60 grit sandpaper to remove that and "Bingo!" No more chatter. It's rare, but it does happen.
