Inline Clock fuse

I have a 4 door 1950 Ford Custom. The clock is not working. Circuit tests show that that the clock is not getting power through the inline fuse. This may seem silly to you restoration veterans, but I can't get the inline container apart to replace the 2 amp fuse. How do get access to the fuse?

I had the same problem. The fuse holder is a push and turn style. Push it together by both ends, and try and turn the larger end. It can be hard to do after these many years. Be patient. You could check to see if there is a old fuse in the holder -- does the wire slide into the holder? If so, then there is no fuse. Hope this helps.

Thanks- I will check that out in the morning. When I push both ends of the fuse holder it feels like a spring is in there somewhere.

That is correct and that is part of the problem-- the tension is firm and over time the twist connection gets a little corroded.
