Yep, I totally agree... you are not going to avoid marring the paint. Install the skirts and plan on leaving them installed.

The decision to use fender skirts, or anything else in direct contact with paint is non revokable. As an example, years ago, I used velvet under a magnetic arial for a walkie talkie on a trip to a National Meet. It took the rest of summer to blend-polish the difference at that spot.

What is a good material to line the edge of my fender skirts so it does not mar the paint on the car? Or can I get original liner? Gunner
