I home some in the group can assist. I am restoring an Almquist Sabre. This is one of Americas first Kit Car. Produced by Ed Almquist ( Almquist Engineering - Americas first hotrod parts catalog) and Clearfield Plastics back in the 50's I need a Ford V8-60 Flathead engine. This is what was originally in the car. I started this project 5 years ago and at the time I had leads for many engines. But as the car is approaching completion I can no longer find one. Can anyine in the group assist? Thanks I have attached an image of my car body at the start of my project.

You might want to advertise for one in the Parts Wanted section of this website. You can also place an ad in the V-8 Times magazine for one. Check out Hemmings Motor News to see if any are listed there for sale, if not, you can always place an ad in the HMN wanted section for one.

And place an ad at fordbarn.com and HAMB ( https://www.jalopyjournal.com/forum/forums/wanted.30/). Charlie Stephens

You may want to look for a 60HP engine of the same year as the car manufacture, since they are not all the same. Very nice appearing car! Good Luck

That will make a fine looking car when finished. You should bring it to some of the National Meets. It would be something that all members could appreciate. Here is one listed in Hemmings https://www.hemmings.com/parts/search?view_type=online&q=ford+60+hp+engine&category_id=&sub_category_id=&makeFacet=Ford&modelFacet= You might also try Ownster.com for a search. That site lists E-Bay and Craigs lists for parts. Tom

There was a "60" listed on the San Francisco Craigslist about a week ago. I just checked the SF Craigslist and the motors are still there. Both have been rebuilt and they are still for sale. There's also a transmission for a "60".
