Can I find a n.o.s. #7521 clutch release rod for a 1952-53 anywhere?

You can try Southside Obsolete in MN http://www.southsideobsolete.com/Southside_Obsolete/Welcome.html and Dennis Carpenter NOS parts http://dennis-carpenter.com/ call on the help line and ask if they have one.

Thanks for that, but I forgot to say that I have the '53 CAR with suspended petals. I can only find the rod for the truck. I'll keep looking.

What is the problem with your rod? The sources that I gave have some NOS parts, there are some others. The most likely source for a used one is from someone that has parted out a 53 Ford.

My clutch rod may be part of the problem of clutch chatter (along with a broken bushing). The rod on my car is not original, but made up. It is not straight across to the bell housing connection. It is suggested that I find a n.o.s. or good original clutch rod #7521. The suppliers so far recommended don't have any. I'm still trying to find one!

Try the V-8 Club's 1952-1953 Adviser, he may know where a good used one is available. Have you placed a parts wanted ad here, The Ford Barn and in the V-8 Times? You could also post an ad on the HAMB as the hotrodders like to go to a hydraulic clutch.

I now am a "happy camper". Shoebox Central has the correct clutch rod for me! Maybe I can now get my '53 back together. Thanks to all who helped me!
