The seal is in two halves, one on the pan and one on the cam cover. The cam cover obviously would be easy to replace, the pan seal a bit more involved. You don't have to replace both, so go with the cam cover and see if that takes care of your issue. Although there are newfangled seals available, the tried and true rope seal is also still available.

Possible to replace the front crank seal with the engine in the car ? Seems like a possibility, but need some direction.
