The v8 is what mine came out with, so the B means v8 I guess, thanks for the info

According to my information, the "B" indicates the V8 engine. The six would be shown by an "H". Also, the numbers started with 100001, so your car would be number 11,621 from the Dearborn Assembly plant. As Big Red 51 said, you should look at codes stamped into the cowl for more information. Also, if your car has original glass, the date codes in the Ford Script oval tell when it was manufactured. The club's 49-50-51 Ford Book has a great deal of information on your car. Okie BODA111621 B = 8 cyl 0 = 1950 DA = Dearborn assembly 111621 = production sequence. Check the codes stamped in the Cowl for more basic info, color, trim type, date built, etc. Don
