40 Coupe - I've got my original gauges working. The hydrostatic fuel gauge was a bit tricking but now fully functional after a lot of help from the Forum. As mentioned, I have a nice dual 1 1/4" round cream colored dual water temp and oil pressure gauge that I placed in an existing dashboard hole that the previous owner used for an ugly black fuel gauge (apparently too intimidated to fix the hydrostatic gauge). I'd like to eliminate this extra hole in my dashboard and, in a sense, squeeze these two instruments in with the original oval, single reading gauges. I think I'll keep skimming Hemmings and the like. Nevertheless, thank you for your genuine effort to help.

Originally the car had a hydrostatic fuel gauge, speedometer and an amp. gauge. The dual gauges are accessories. They are nice but not available in stores. This should not stop you from going back to the original two gauges and a speedometer. Then you can keep an eye out for the accessories if you can find them.

Does anyone have a source for dual gauges that are in the 1934 oval format? I think they are fuel&water temp and amp&oil pressure, but I am not sure. I have a single, extra, round gauge in cream that shows both oil pressure and water temp. It's actually quite nice but would love to eliminate this hole in the dash and reduce back to the two, original oval dashboard instrument holes. I have a '34 roadster, running a 24-bolt flathead.
