There is no color code on heavy battery cable. Hot side of battery goes to left side lug on starter switch and starter cable goes from starter lug to right lug on switch. Which is kinda what I said in first post. I looked at the same diagram in my service manual. hope this helps. ken ct.

Looks like the cable from the battery goes to the left stud of switch(drivers side) cable from starter goes on right stud (pass side.) Only says heavy black cable. ken ct.

I am adding an original starter switch to my car. Please help me to wire it correctly. I'm looking at the starer switch pictured on page 112 of the 1935/36 Ford Book by John Rogers. As pictured, what wires go to each post. Thank you!
