The welting goes between the inner and outer fenders. This welting is not like the rear fender welting, it does not have a bead on it and it is thicker. Roy Nacewicz has the correct welting for your 37. http://www.fordscript.com/

Thanks for the picture. On some 37's I see a welting with a bead on its edge on top of the fender that the hood side pieces rest on the welting so they don't hit the fenders. With the fenders on top of the inner aprons the welting can't go between the fender & inner aprons. My fenders are on top of the inner aprons like yours, should I put welting under the bolt heads holding the fenders on. That would make the welting exposed not like the rear fenders where the welting is hidden between the body & fender. bill

In addition to Gregg's advice there is some anti-squeak welting that goes between the inner fender and fender. You can purchase it from most of the V-8 vendors.

Hi Bill, The fenders go above the inner aprons. Some pics are attached. Feel free to ask about other assembly type things. I have three 37's and am also learning along the way. This forum has been a God send for me. Thanks, Gregg
