Is the head for a 1934 the same as a head for a 1936?

They'll interchange but they have different part numbers cast on the heads. '36 heads the cast numbers are 68-6049 - passenger side and 68-6050 - drivers side....'34 heads are 40-6049 and 40-6050.... Can be had in both aluminum and cast iron....

Do you care about the part number cast on the head? See this > http://www.reds-vintage-parts.com/component/mijoshop/product/878-flathead-ford-iron-cylinder-head-left-40-6050-b-1933-36-ford?search=cylinder%20head I have, for sale, a pair of 21 stud cast iron heads with no part numbers cast on them....

Heads '32,'33,'34 engines use a flat top piston. '35, '36 engines use a domed piston. '35, '36 heads will fit all 21 stud engines. (even '37) '32,'33, '34 heads will fit only the engines with flat top pistons.

I have a 38 pickup and apparently it has an older engine as the water pumps are mounted on front of head. Engine has been taken apart and has flat top pistons. As long as the heads will fit I am not sensitive as to the stamping on heads. Just want to be sure that what I get will work. If your heads will work, how much?

Shipping costs might be prohibitive depending on your location. I'm in California....

I guess I would have to pay the shipping at any rate. I only need the drivers side but if you don't want to split up I understand. They can't weigh that much. The cracked head I took off had a date stamping of 1937 but must have been aftermarket cause no ford nos. on head. Let me know what you want and we can figure out the shipping. Thanks Bob G.
