Don, It is the exact ring!! Linclon had also some information. Thank you both so much. I have had this ring for years and in all those years did not know any thing about it. I sadly report I no longer have the 40 Ford coupe deluxe that caused me to buy the ring however whenever I get the ring out I think of the coupe. Good memories. Thank you again old salt63 Matt

Lincoln, Thank you for your response. You may be interested to know that I gave only $5.00 for the ring in 1969 at a huge flea market between San Diego and National City Calif. At the time I had a 40 Ford coupe Deluxe. I have sent a picture to the other fellow that had asked for it to his personal E-mail. I would be glad to send a copy to you also. Let me know thanks again Matt

Matt:A 1936 catalog by Sales Equipment Co. (SECO) of Detroit Mich shows a V-8 ring described as of Sterling silver having a Ford blue V-8 engraved on the face. This was the "speed-style" V-8 best described as a figure eight nestled within the V, and a line going thru the eight. The ring also had engraving on its sides. 1936 price was $3.25 Believe an early V-8 TIMES issue showed a similar ring in an article on 1940 collectibles. These rings could be purchased by the dealer and were probably given to their top salesmen. Am not certain when SECO started or ended this practice but they (and maybe others) offered a ring to Ford dealers over many years. Today, they are a nice collectible. Lincoln

I have a Ford V8 ring I bought 40 years ago after seeing it in a "Early Ford V8's" booklet. I would like to know what it was- a dealer promotion item, a top salesman award, a nice to have item for new owners or ??? I don't seem to be able to the photo file to load. I am sending it to Margaret Connelly Matt
