Anybody know the gauge/thickness of a 39 frame and/or sub-rail? Thanks!

The frame rails were a nominal .110". That being said, if you are patching, I'd suggest you clean up an adjacent area and measure the thickness of your frame. Remember, these rails were stamped and formed out of "gauge" steel that most certainly had a tolerance specified by Ford, hence "nominal".

Bob Lincoln had a good article a while back in the V8 Times regarding some "variations" in thickness of frame cross members on "Open Cars".
