There is a maroon center on some of these hub caps that are advertised on ebay for 1952-1954 Fords; with FORD image written in the the center. Was that an offering in 1953 or just 1954? They are sharp looking but the EFV8CA "1952-1953 book" does not indicate these were an option??? Scotty

Scotty The '53 wheel covers did not have the painted background in the center. There were NO bumps around the outside. The '54 wheel covers were painted and had the bumps. Early '53's used the '52 wheel covers which had the small black squares around the outside. Don

Big Red, I think Scotty is talking about the small hub caps and not the full wheel covers.

Whoops!, In case you are talking the standard "dog dish" hubcaps; I have several dealer brochures from Vics to sedans with dog dish caps and all are plain in the center except the FORD in black. Don
