Is anyone reproducing the chrome accsesory rear fender guards for 41-48 cars.? I checked with Drake and Carpentor on line and found nothing.

If you are talking about the Stainless Steel stone guards that take the place of the rubber ones, try Drakes part no., 51A-16349/50-SS.

You don't say what body style your car is. Be aware that the stone guards for the station wagons are different from the other body styles.

The stainless version of the rear fender stoneguards were a "dress up" accessory sold by after market places, and not a Ford part. We have used the Drake guards, which are very nicely made with the rubber bonded to the metal backer. We did find that we had to elongate some of the mounting holes. The studs were metric threads, so keep track of them when you unpack them.

Along those lines, as supereal states, the rear mounting studs on the rubber fender guards I purchased from Bob Grant for my '46 Woodie weren't even close to the stock holes in the fender. I didn't want to enlarge the holes, so I TIG welded new studs in the correct location. Welding studs on the stainless guards might be a problem. I was able to submerge most of the guard to keep it cool so not to burn the rubber.
