Recently I bought a 59AB engine, said to be out of a truck, that had a 2 piece oil pan. The rear part unbolts, apparently to allow access to the clutch. Maybe my memory is failing me,[worse than I thought] but I can't remember coming across one of these before. Does any have any info. on this, what years were they used were they just used on trucks? I realize this engine may have been in numerous different vehicles in its life.

59A's especially those in trucks equipped with 11" clutches used a two piece oil pan to facilitate clutch removal. Not an uncommon find.
