The 48-7006-M was the casting number used. The part number was 48-7005, used in 1935 and 1936 passenger and commercial vehicles. Also, go to VanPeltSales.com and click on the Trans I.D. Section for additional information.

The "7006" part of the number is the bare transmission case. The "48" says it was first used in 1935. No help on the "M", probably some sort of revision to the part/drawing. Charlie Stephens

Help with identification, 48-7006- M on rear of three speed case w/bottom rib. What was it used on? Thanks
