Is the Raybestos MC1050 Professional Grade Brake Master Cylinder a decent unit?

They have been in the past. I would rather chance that than some of the Chinese no-name ones.

Unfortunately most brake parts are made in China. The name brands probably have more quality control, but they are usually foreign made. Ask your supplier the origin of the part. I have found in the last 4-5 years that finding American made brake parts is almost impossible.

I put two master cyl. from NAPA on my 38 coupe,they both leaked, got one from Advance,so far its ok,I'm using synthetic fluid
